This is the first in what eventually grew into the Eclipse Red Ring legend.
There is a logo on the top cap and it's a three piece - that means that it is either a Gen 1 or Gen 2. The entire razor is Silver plated and thats what puts it in the Gen 1 corner.
There is another subtle difference and that is that the knurling on the handle of this one is very slightly rougher when compared to my Third Generation one. I actually would not have noticed it if I didn't have them lying side by side.

This one is a Model BB and came in a Mahogany colored bakelite case.

How does it shave?
It shaves the same as the other generations - a mild shaver.
