Walbusch B5
Walter Busch Sohn was founded in Solingen in 1934 as a mail order company selling household items, amongst them a line of razors.
They developed the a Humpback Slant razor numbered a B3. They were granted a patent (Number DE669899) for an adjustable slant razor on 6th January 1939 which they numbered B5. Been a Humpback Slant, the blade is not twisted.
The company still exists today, so at some point between 1939 and the early 1950's, they must have come to some agreement with Merkur which allowed them to develop and manufacture their Progress razors.
To the best of my knowledge there are three B5 versions:
Black and Silver (Although reasonably rare - it is the most "common" version)
White and Silver
White and Gold
They pre-date the Merkur Progress by a few years, and the twist-knob is interchangable with the Progress 500. If the handle was removable would also interchange.
