Maravilla Basculante
I've done a fair bit of Googling on this one and still come up empty.
Maravilla is a Spanish brand, and Basculante loosely translated means Pivot. The handle is extremely well made, in three pieces and is stainless steel. One of the pieces is a ball joint with which you can set the slant and the other two pieces really are there just to accommodate and tighten the ball joint. So it can be used as standard or a slant or a hoe razor.
The one post has a flat spot on it with a corresponding hole in the base plate, so the topcap can only go on one way. I can't see why that is because both sides look and shave the same, unlike a typical Maravillia which generally have a regular side and a frowning side.
It came in a very Art Deco case, which has no insert in it to hold the razor. It seems like it initially came that way because the internal is painted red and there are no glue spots which would hold an insert in place.
How does it shave?
Its a smooth mild razor. There is no BBS with this one.
