I'm extremely fortunate to have found this Metallic handle version and added it to my collection.

This is pretty much a repeat of what I said on the Black Handle version.
There are conflicting opinions on the net, some say the middle of the 1930's and others say around 1950. If we look at the patent dates, the first patent (number DE812402) was granted on 30 August 1951, so I would be more inclined to believe the 1950 date. They were however only manufactured for a very short period.

This one breaks down into 3 pieces as it was designed to do. The mechanism is seized up so it doesn't adjust, however the adjuster knob does come apart as it should.

I've tried a few things to loosen the mechanism up, but none have worked. I guess that it's going to remain so unless I can figure out something else.

How does it shave
Like the Black Handle version but it only has the one setting - so mild.
