Rockwell is a Canadian company that started out having their razors manufactured in the USA. I understand that it was only the 6S that was made in the USA and subsequently the manufacture of the 6C was moved to China. Since then all their razors have been manufactured in China.

Their first release was the 6S, so lets start there.
Rockwell launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in September 2014 with the first batches going out in December 2014 / January 2015.
The first batch that went out had "warped" top caps. I understand that they sent out new razors to those that received the warped top caps.
Moving on a few months they redesigned the base plates slightly and the "6 different razors" plus their price point made it a success.

I'm not really sure how that managed to get a patent on a reversible plate because the idea is an old one dating back to the Bohin in the 1930's - but they did and even issued a "Cease and Desist" order to Ikon when they released their SBS model.

While they were busy with their Model T, they announced the 6C and as things turned out, it was their second release.
It was first announced on 21^st September 2016 with the first ones shipped late November/early December the same year.
There were three colours offered - White Chrome, Gunmetal and Brushed chrome but each had a level of funding that had to be achieved. The funding never reached level at which the Brushed chrome was going to be unlocked, so only the first two were released.
It was basically a cheaper version of the 6S.

Rockwell's second razor "announcement" was their Twist to Open, 1-Piece which they dubbed the Model T.

The first reference to the Kickstarter Campaign was on 28 March 2016, with an estimated delivery of March 2017.
Initially the internals were to be made from Zinc, but Rockwell announced soon after the launch that they would be made of plated brass.

There were so many delays and eventually in March 2018, the first 100 were shipped out.
Once they were released, the early reviews were not kind. There were plating flaws, the adjustment mechanism was very stiff, misaligned blade trays and doors. Other complaints included excessive blade chatter and bulky head geometry.

The Model T was discontinued and on 16 June 2021, the T2 was introduced.
Using feedback, Rockwell redesigned and refined it. The only difference visually is the T-Bar showing through the head. They raised the height of it and let it stick through the top of the doors. This helped get rid of the balde chatter and fixed both the blade and door alignment issues. Internally Rockwell also strenthened things up.

On 30 Jaunary 2023, the Stainless Steel version was officially announced.

In late September 2026 Rockwell's website announced their Setpoint Razors. I was told about it on 26^th September 2026, so I guess a day or two before that. The earliest "forum" reference to them that I can find is 29th September 2026.
There was no crowdfunding campaign this time, just the announcement.

It's a two piece and the adjustment mechanism is the same as that of the Merkur Progress, except that they moved the adjuster dial to under the head.
Their website advertises it as Precision CNC'ed, Infinitely adjustable with a Solid 2-Piece Head.
They offered it in Black or Silver Aluminium or Stainless Steel and it was apparently four years in development.

The price of the Stainless Steel model was very well prices and not much more than the Yaqi Avanti and other than the Aluminium Rocnel, its the only modern Aluminium Adjustable razor on the market.
(The Gibbs 15 is the only vintage adjustable that I'm aware of.)

At the time of writing this, the release of the Setpoint gave Rockwell the widest range of "different" adjustables in that they now have a One-Piece in the Model T2, a Two-Piece in the Setpoint and a Three-Piece in the 6S/C range - all in Stainless Steel and the cheaper versions either in Zamak or Aluminium. They were the only company to have this.

The first reviews that came out were all positive. Of the reviewers that had both models, none committed to a preference for either the Stainless Steel or Aluminium version.
